Welcome to the very first edition of Vibes @ Ølgod — your inside scoop on what’s been brewing (and bubbling) behind the scenes each week at the bar. Think of it as a little postcard from the heart of Raval, where the beer flows, the music bumps, and something new is always cooking.

This past week, we’ve been in full prep mode. The kitchen has been alive with trials (and a few errors) as we worked on perfecting the recipe for Xeque Mate, our new twist on a classic Brazilian drink that’ll be the star of our upcoming Brazilian Night. Spoiler: it tastes like sunshine and dance floors.

At the same time, we’ve been putting together all the moving parts for Saudade F.C., our new cultural and sonic series kicking off this Saturday. Expect warmth, nostalgia, and a whole lot of flavor — with Marina Lessa taking over the kitchen for a special pop-up and the unstoppable Arrabbiosa's DJ set keeping the rhythm high and the spirits higher.

The weekend surprised us with a last-minute surge of energy — thanks in part to the near-cancellation of the Raval fiestas, which somehow only added to the buzz. What could have been a quiet one turned into a beautiful mess of clinking glasses, shared tables, and spontaneous dance moves. We’re calling it an organic footprint kind of weekend — the kind that grows wild and leaves a mark.
